Above is a picture of our little "peanut" at six weeks, already had a 4 chambered heart at this point! Sometime later in December Lana will have another ultrasound and we'll post another picture then. Enjoy!

First Sounds Of A Heartbeat
Today Lana and I heard our Baby's heartbeat today for the first time! Lana is just over 11 weeks now, and the nurse said it was a strong beat. It's amazing to think our 1.5 inch Baby has a 4 chambered heart beating rapidly as it continues to grow inside Lana's womb! As soon as we heard the beat, Lana and I looked at each other with a big smile on our faces. It's another step along the way towards parenthood and makes it all seem more real. Sadly, the reason we were in the doctor's office is because Lana hasn't been felling well the past week..not morning sickness, but due to a urinary track turned kidney infection. Please pray for her as you read this. Thankfully she's starting to feel better, so not to worry.

So fun to hear the heartbeat for the first time. So sweet! I will pray for you Lana as you recover from your infection. Yucky to feel so sick from that. Love you both.
ReplyDeleteAww.... that is so precious! A perfect little life the Creator is molding/shaping! I remember our 13.5 wk ultrasound (still have the picture on our fridge!) and seeing the remarkable profile where you can see defined lips, nose, chin, etc. I am still in awe that I can "see" the ultrasound pic when I look at him even at 1 yr old! Seeing your ultrasound pic reminded me of what a special time this is for you both! Will be praying for Lana. This is an incredible journey and the ride gets more and more interesting with each day that passes! ENJOY!! Lana, you have the most important job in the world right now. Congrats to you both!
