Our Gift Is Still Wrapped...

for 4 more months! This past Wednesday, 23 Dec, Lana had an ultrasound at Osan Air Base up near Seoul and thankfully I was able to take a day off of work to be with her for the exciting appointment! It was so amazing to see our little Baby at 19 weeks on the computer screen, especially when he/she moved...we're really looking forward to holding him/her in May! Praise God everything is developing normally and is in the right place! At this point, the Baby is approximately 6 inches (15.25 cm) long and weights half a pound (.23 kg). We could easily see the 4-chambered heart, ears, nose, mouth, legs, arms and spinal column as you can see in the pictures below. We had told the doctor we didn't want to know the gender of the Baby, but at the end he handed us an envelope with the gender written on a piece of paper...to he honest, I was ready to give in and open it, but Lana tore the envelope up and threw it in the trash before I could get my hands on it! =) Thanks for being strong Lana!

Like Lance said it was truly amazing to see our child on the screen and to see how our little peanut has changed since the last appointment. (-; The whole time I could not stop thinking about the greatness of God for creating this new life inside of me. Seriously people, what a miracle! It just startles me how this little body can develop so perfectly inside of me without me even noticing anything. One of the big things they checked for at the appointment was if the spinal cord has developed correctly (i.e if it is a smooth line and nothing is sticking out). It was a big relief to see that everything was growing right.

Having seen our Baby makes me feel even closer and the motherly feelings are already growing strong. While we were there the Baby had its mouth open and moved it's tongue around. For some reason I thought that was the cutest thing I had ever seen. I was so happy that Lance was able to share those special moments with me. He has been so nice the whole time and I have absolutely no doubt that he will be a great father to our child. We did not want the Doctor to stop the ultrasound since it has been the best "movie" that we have ever seen on a screen.

It's An Avocado Now!!

...at least that is what the baby book says! (-: Yesterday I successfully entered into my fourth month of pregnancy, which is supposed to be one of the best month out of all 9! My skin is supposed to be "radiant" and all over I should feel great...I actually do!
Lance and I just got back from a wonderful trip to Guam (click here for the details). A tiny little island in Micronesia and we enjoyed it to the fullest. My skin might even be a little radiant from the sun that we got there. Korea welcomed us back with it's first snow this morning and it's freezing cold air. With the cold weather here I will be able to cover up my belly which is slowly starting to show! Lance and I still want to wait to find out whether we're going to have a boy or a girl, but the names are no longer secret and we want to share them with all of you.

Girl: Lillian Kate Ferguson
Boy: Liam Sean Ferguson

What do you think? Yeah?! We like it too!! That's all for now! Stay posted! (-;
