just before Lilli turns one...

I thought it's time for another blog. We have been doing good. After a wonderful Christmas time (my brother and mother were able to be with us) and lots of family time together Lance had to leave for the States and we miss him. Thankfully he will be back soon. Skype is so great and has really helped Liam to stay connected to his father too. Plus I occasionly bought some gifts and said they where from his daddy which made him happy. I don't consider this lying (-;
Thankfully we all managed to stay healthy and I am truly sorry for every one that has not been this winter season. It is really hard especially when you have little kids to take care of.
As I said above Lilli will turn one soon. Amazing!! I know every one says this but time really flies (check my previous post for a more serious note about this topic) and I can not believe that it's been a year already.
She is really becoming quiet the character and added  2 more teeth to her collection. so now there are 6. Still no crawling but me and the doctor are not worried about that. I think it is great actually that she stays put haha. I think she will start walking pretty soon. She started to become very friendly and smiley and just smiles at everyone and about everything. Thank God she turned out after all haha!
Still screams when she does not get her way or when it is bed time but not bad.
I love this little person so much and could just snuggle all day with her. One of the big advantages of having kids is that I still get all the snuggles when my husband is gone. Liam is so good with his words too. He is a real sweetheart. He randomly tells me "I love you mommy " or "you are looking good" just like "good job" when I cooked or other encouraging things. He also developed a good sense of humor and is a good actor. He makes me laugh often.
What a blessing these two! Can not imagine a life without them.
I have heard from many that it will get boring and that you will want to return to work after a while but that has not happend yet. Of course not every day is the same but I just love taking care of them. And I know and see that they love me taking care of them. Liam goes to Kindergarten almost every day now. Only for about 2 or 3 hours and he can choose to stay home but he just likes playing with the kids and getting a change. I am constantly meeting people and have a couple of really good friends here that help me get my adult conversation to stay sane (-;
Once a week I am doing a bible study with a friend via skype and that has been a big blessing to me.
That's all for now. Hope you are doing good.

another year!

Happy new year 2013!!
Another year that we are alive by God's grace.
I have just watched a series of original footage  on the Tsunami that happend 2004 in Asia.
If you are interested the link for the first episode is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9DMiy_DVok and I am extremly moved by it. It has only been 9 years since about 230 000 people have died in this tragic event but how quick do we forget and take life for granted.
It happend on Christmas day. It made me once again extremly thankful for my family and for my live. Every day is a gift from God and every day holds the opportunity to meet him.

PSALM, 4 and 5
“Show me, Lord, my life’s end
and the number of my days;
let me know how fleeting my life is.
5 You have made my days a mere handbreadth;
the span of my years is as nothing before you.
Everyone is but a breath,
even those who seem secure

Psalm 90:10

King James Version (KJV)
10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
