Happy kids, happy mother!

time continues to go fast as we are staying busy. everyday is so different and we are doing something everyday. I have to take the kids out of the house at least once a day for my own sanity. They both are doing great when the have something going on but tend to get a little difficult when nothing happens. Wonder who they get it from? haha.
These past weeks we feed neighbors dogs and turtels, had our second home in the public swimmingpool, went to the fire station on base, went to the lake and river and met lots of friends. Have I mentioned how thankful I am for my friends? In my life I have never felt lonely or bored and I know that that is a great blessing.
Yesterday my Friend Lilli came to visit from Frankfurt ( met her in church during my flight training). Along with her came her 12 year old son who now is Liams best friend. He thought he is the coolest kid he ever met and enjoyed every minute of it. Have I mentioned that Lilli all of a sudden is no baby anymore? seems like she turned into a little girl overnight.
Now my friend Susi is on her way to visit and when she leaves my grandparents and mom are driving down for a little vacation in the Netherlands. Did not think that we would vacation so soon together again. Hope that you are enjoying the summer and the good things in life.
Love,
Lana.

as a Christian

As a Christian you are sometimes ask weather you believe the whole bible is true or how you can believe in all the stories of the bible. I think that there is an easy answer to this but first it raises another question. Do you believe that Jesus died for our sins was put to the grave and rose 3 days later? You should not call yourself a Christian if you do not believe in this basic truth of Christianity. Once you believe that Jesus was dead and rose again it is pretty easy to believe in Jonah's story or Noah's ark.
There are Christians who believe in Jesus but don't believe that God created. Why should an almighty God who has the power to bring dead to life not be able to create the universe? What kind of God would that be anyway?
The answer however is found in

2 Timothy 3:16

16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.

So what do you believe?
Don't get hung up in the stories of the bible and weather you find them unbelievable or not . Ask yourself the most fundamental question first Do I believe that Jesus died for my Sins and rose again on the third day?

The answer to that question is all that matters in the end.

Revelation 1:18

18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

1 Corinthians 15:12-20

12 But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. 15 More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. 19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.

20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

Romans 1:16

New International Version

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
