update

It has been really good to have my mom and brother come visit this summer and in September we had Lance's uncle and aunt here to visit us from the west coast. It always forces you to get out and do stuff and always gives you a new appreciation for things. When others are on vacation I feel like I am on vacation too. Summer has gone by so quick but the kids and I have really made the most of it and spent alot of it outside. I really feel like fall came overnight this year but now I am enjoying the cooler weather. I just don't like dressing the kids up for this cooler wheather. All the stuff you need to think about is annoying and just when you are ready to leave the house you find that one of your little darling filled their pants. wonderful. Liam is currently getting potty trained but needs a little more time. He goes occassionly but it is mostly me or Lance guessing that it would be a good time to put him on the toilett. Since about 1 week he does not need his Pacifier anymore so thats a huge step for someone who was addicted to this little piece of plastic. He still holds on to his quack quack which I will soon introduce a little further in one of the next blogs.
Lance has been gone for a week to training in the states and it is good to have him back. The kids and I really missed him. Seeing how much Liam talked about him while he was gone and how important his daddy time is to him really made me think about the upcoming deployment. I dread the day. It will be awful but I try to stay positive about it as much as I can because nothing else helps. Liam will start german Kindergarten in November and I am sure that will be a big help for both of us. German Kindergarten is for free in Rheinland Pfalz. I could have him there all day but most likely he will just be there in the morning for a few hours. It is a really nice one and I will be able to walk him there which is a big blessing. As much as he loves being around people I think he will have no problems adjusting to this new phase in his life.
Liam talks more and more and soon Lance will have a problem in catching up.
Lilli is in a very cute age right now. I love this age where they start to interact alot more and laugh and "talk" . Sadly she still thinks she is gonna die when I put her down for her naps and cries bloody murder but she will get over it one day. She is able to roll around completly now. She has a couple teeth and soon more and she STILL DOES NOT SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT but I am still hopeful that this day is coming soon. I enjoy having some alone time with her when Liam sleeps because that does not happen very often so it is special to just concentrate on her. I love it when she falls asleep lying on my belly and just having her so close. Soon she will be up and moving too and that is hard to believe right now. She is a wild girl and loves being thrown in the air. the higher the better. She preferably would like to be entertained nonstop which makes life a little hard sometimes. Her life too so as sometimes I am just letting the little princess cry.
It is really moving to see Liam loving on his little sister. He randomly just walks up to "Lilu"and gives her kisses and hugs and sometimes headbangs ha!
Just recently he said shut up while she was crying though a good reminder on watching what I say.
We are currenly ejoying a little break at home in between travelling to France and Greece so life could be worse. Please also check lance's blog ourjourneyintotheblue.blogspot.com while I am working on mine. Lots of Love to all of you. God bless you.

Summertime in Germany part 2

hanging out at the Swimming pool in town was one of our favorite activities
...and we spent alot of time down by the river.
 always happy outside...almost always.
Liam and his love for dogs.
 funny with Oma's reading glasses.

thought that this was a funny belly picture. Lets hope Liam does not look like the guy in the back one day!
looked him up while exploring the historical town of Bernkastel
water, water more water is all it takes to make this one happy.
so neat to see my brother connect with Lilli.

it was great spending time at the Maare (volcanic Lake)
here is to a good summer 2012. So much better than the next one will be....
